SPEAKER BIO:

Prof. Dr med. dent. Roland Frankenberger was born in Eichstätt, Germany, in 1967. He obtained his dental degree (DMD) in 1992. During the period of 1994 and 1999, he was Assistant Professor at the University of Erlangen, Germany. Subsequently, Prof. Frankenberger held the position as Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. In 2000, he obtained his PhD and he was assigned Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials (FADM) as well as Associate Professor at the University of Erlangen in 2006. Three years later, Prof. Frankenberger became Chairman of the Department of Operative Dentistry at the University of Marburg, Germany. Also in 2009, he received the position as Honorary Professor at the Stomatological Academy Krasnojarsk, Russia. 

In 2011, he became Editor-in-Chief of the German scientific journal “Quintessenz”. He has been holding the position as President of the German Association of Conservative Dentistry and dean at the Marburg Dental School since 2012. Overall, Prof. Frankenberger has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, 35 book chapters and 2 books. Furthermore, Prof. Frankenberger is a member of the following editorial boards: Journal of Dentistry, Clinical Oral Investigations, American Journal of Dentistry, Journal of Adhesive Dentistry, Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, International Journal of Dentistry.
